Direction of the State System of Criminal Justice Alternative
The State System of Criminal Alternative Justice is a specialized instance of the Attorney General of the State of Tamaulipas, with administrative functions, in charge of directing and coordinating the Alternative Criminal Justice Centers located in various municipalities, as well as promoting and applying the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms underlying the preliminary investigation or investigation portfolio, which are the subject matter of the alternative justice procedure.
Supports the interveners in criminal proceedings, for the generation of Reparatory Agreements, whose purpose is to generate solutions in criminal matters conflicts, in those cases where the law allows; voluntarily and proactively the parties participate in the solution of their conflict. These methods consist of mediation, conciliation and restoration, with the aim of repairing the damage to victims or offenders of crimes, and the offender is responsible for the damage caused by their behavior and consequences.
Promote the culture of peace and the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, by providing an alternate route to persons who are part of a preliminary investigation or a research portfolio, in order to achieve through a effective communication and on a voluntary basis, the interests or affected rights of the victims are restored or offended behavior that through restorative justice.
Facilitate the access of citizens to justice by providing an alternate route to all those persons who are part of a criminal complaint and who comply with the assumptions of origin, with the purpose that through the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms, The offended or victim and the defendant dialogue in search of solutions to the conflict that has led to the commission of the crime, reaching a favorable agreement for both parties, avoiding adversarial processes.
