Intensifies Health care and service in areas affected by flooding in Reynosa

REYNOSA, Tamaulipas .- The Government of Tamaulipas intensified field work in health in affected colonies in Reynosa, installed medical care modules and carried out prevention actions after the rains of the past 24 in June.

Accompanied by the members of the health response team, the head of Health in the state, visited this Friday the colonies Paseo de las Flores, Independencia and Lucio Blanco, where they installed medical care modules to address pre-existing health problems -existing and guarantee the continuity of the established treatments.

Supervised the works for the monitoring of water for human consumption, the disinfection of latrines and basic sanitation; home visits to identify diarrheal and febrile patients in order to prevent outbreaks of cholera, dengue and other communicable diseases.

He reiterated to the inhabitants of the affected sectors, the commitment of the State Executive to reinforce health care and other urgent needs in the face of contingency to prevent and address problems as a result of the flood.

As part of the actions of Health intensive fumigation activities are also carried out supported by vehicles and heavy machinery, thermoneering and insecticides, to avoid outbreaks of dengue, Zika and Chikungunya; as well as the promotion of preventive measures and health education sessions among the population.

According to the schedule of activities for Saturday and Sunday, it is planned to carry out these actions in the Villa Esmeralda, Delicias Extension, Villas de Imaq and La Joya neighborhoods.
