Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Non-Localized Persons
The Attorney General of the State of Tamaulipas has created as part of the strategies in the area of "Security"; The "Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Attention to Persons Not Localized or Deprived of their Freedom", this to guarantee and strictly comply with the guidelines on human rights, in the search for people affected in their right to freedom, or personal security. The Specialized Public Ministry Agencies are located in the cities of Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Matamoros, Tampico and Victoria.
The creation of the "Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Attention to Persons Not Localized or Deprived of their Freedom", has as a direct objective the conduction and supervision of the Specialized Agencies, providing specialized attention to direct and indirect victims, guaranteeing an immediate, specialized investigation, meticulous, exhaustive and efficient, to achieve the location of the affected people in the place and state in which they are and the reincorporation to their family. Acting in coordination with authorities of the three levels of government and with specialized personnel in the investigation and clarification of the facts, this to prove the existence of the criminal act and the probable participation or intervention of the active subjects; procuring and guaranteeing the human rights of victims, offended and imputed in terms of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States and other applicable legal provisions.
Provide the offended with due attention, follow-up and supervision of reported complaints, take immediate action in the search for people not located or deprived of their freedom, implemented timely operations with the help of other authorities, specialized personnel, logistical means or any technological or scientific support to locate the whereabouts of people not located or deprived of their liberty or locate traces or clues that contribute to that end.
As well as ensure, recognize and guarantee the human rights of victims, especially the right to protection, attention, truth, justice, provide legal advice, urgent medical and psychological care, safeguard their identity and other personal data and other rights enshrined in the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States and International Treaties.
