State Anti-kidnapping Coordination


OBJECTIVE:

The State Anti-kidnapping Coordination of the Attorney General of the State of Tamaulipas will have the purpose of carrying out the investigation and prosecution of crimes in the matter of kidnapping and of those that are related to that specialty or those that the Procurator so provides, carrying I finish the following goals:

GOAL:

Direct and supervise the proper integration and determination of the Investigations related to the kidnapping crimes that are carried out in the Units and Agencies attached to the State Anti-kidnapping Coordination; coordinating the operative actions for the liberation of the victims taking care of the physical integration of the same, granting the advice of handling of crisis and negotiation, Protection and Legal, psychological and social Support, in case of being necessary for relatives or witnesses, respecting in everything At the moment, human rights, both of the accused and of the victims themselves; creating administrative, legal, tactical and operative projects that guide and facilitate the investigation, prosecution and clarification of the corresponding crimes and thus achieve the gradual reduction of criminal kidnapping rates.

What to do if a call is received?

In case of receiving a call of this type, they will generally provide you with real information about family members or friends, which were obtained through illicit means with the intention of obtaining credibility and, consequently, success in extortion. Therefore, it is important to follow these recommendations:

Keep calm.

Listen carefully to the extortionist's arguments.

Ask for time and use it to locate your loved one.

Record the incoming phone number, the gender of the caller, your accent, your language type, and any other information that seems important to you.

Once you've located your family member, pick up the phone at least a couple of hours. If you receive a threatening new call, answer that it is the wrong number and hang up.

PREVENTIVE RECOMMENDATIONS

Do not provide personal or financial information to strangers(surveys or family presumed).

Acquire a caller ID.

In the recording you make if you have an answering machine, do not mention your family name or surnames (for example: do not record "you are calling the Fernández family house"), do not give more information.

When someone calls and asks Where do I call? Answer where do you want to call ?, or if they ask, Who do I speak with? contest Who do you want to talk to?.

Do not allow children or seniors to answer the phone or use social networks without supervision.

In the case of merchants, do not provide their particular numbers to conduct business, or promote them in flyers, advertisements, telephone directories, etc. Establish an exclusive business number for business and another number for family or personal issues.

Maintain constant communication with the family, let them know where and with whom they are.
