Captain José Jorge Ontiveros Molina
He is a Marine Infantry Hydrographic Engineer graduated from the Heroic Naval Military School, has a specialty in Parachuting, Naval Command and Operations Management at the Center for Naval Higher Studies and at the Center for Army and Air Force Studies.
He held different positions in operational units of the Mexican Navy Secretariat, such as the development of high impact operations, inspection and surveillance operations, security operations at strategic facilities, management of human, material and financial resources, design of tools for control and supervision of personnel, as well as command, supervision and control tasks.
From 2012 to 2013 he collaborated as Administrative Director in the Secretariat of Public Safety and Roads in the municipality of Monterrey, Nuevo León, from 2013 to 2014 he held the position of Director of Traffic.
Ontiveros Molina was appointed Secretary of Public Security in the municipality of San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, where he collaborated in 2015 and 2016.
From 2016 to 2017, he was Director General of Public Safety, Preventive Police and Municipal Traffic of Los Cabos, Baja California.
In April 2017, he assumed the position of Undersecretary of Police Operation of the Creditable State Police of Tamaulipas, a position he held until July 2020, to later be appointed Secretary of Public Security.
