Issuance of electronic professional license.


Now you can obtain your electronic professional certificate before the General Direction of Professions of the Secretariat of Public Education, if you are Mexican or foreigner with studies in Mexico and you want to register your specialty diploma, professional title or academic degree, at any level; either technical, university senior technician, bachelor, master or doctorate.

From the 1 ° of October of 2018, the registration of title and issuance of professional license by the General Direction of Professions of the SEP, is online through the portal www.gob.mx/cedulaprofesional. Enter to verify that your educational institution has issued your degree or electronic academic degree, you must have your e.firma, make the payment online and you can get your electronic professional ID.

In case your degree or academic degree is not available, you will have to contact the Help Desk of gob.mx, where you must provide information to request the submission of your degree or academic degree to your Educational Institution, we We take care of asking you to accelerate your integration to the issue of electronic titles, you can follow up on your request at any time through your report number.

This new process is regulated according to the publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation on 5 day of April of 2018.

Application signed with e.firma which will contain your name, place and date of birth, as well as the nationality, Unique Code of Population Registration (CURP), name or denomination of the institution that granted the professional title, and date of issue .

    • Note: In case your studies correspond to a specialty in the health sector and have been completed before the 2001 year, you must present the diploma of the specialty in original, which will be sent to the Ministry of Health for validation.
    • For those specialized professionals graduated from the 2001 year, the presentation of the specialty diploma issued by a higher education institution will be mandatory, according to the Official Mexican Standard NOM 090-SSA-I-1994, which establishes that the courses of specialization made in the National Residency System must have a university endorsement.
    • * In the case of medical specialties, the interested party must be certified before the National Standards Committee of Medical Special Councils (CONACEM).
  • Professional title for Mexicans and foreigners for technician levels, higher university technician and degree:
