Sebien will give subsidies to 25 organizations of the civil society of Tamaulipas
Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.- With the objective of continuing to contribute to the strengthening of human and social development, gender perspective and sustainable integral development of people, surroundings or communities, the Government of the State of Tamaulipas, which is titled Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, through the Secretariat of Social Welfare (SEBIEN), will provide subsidies to 25 Civil Society organizations through the program "Linkage with civil society organizations".
The resources allocated to these organizations will benefit people and communities living in situations of vulnerability or exclusion, and it is through the promotion of models of civil society care that young people are encouraged to participate as agents of change, with the purpose of promoting the generation of capacities and social cohesion.
5 Civil Organizations were selected by municipality that will receive a subsidy for one hundred thousand pesos each. The venues that participated in this event were Ciudad Victoria, Tampico, Reynosa, Matamoros and Nuevo Laredo, so there were a total of 25 Civil Society organizations selected to meet all the established requirements.
There are seven thousand 178 the approximate number of direct beneficiaries in the 5 municipalities by civil society organizations.
Through the implementation of this program, individual, family and social well-being can be achieved by providing support to the vulnerable population such as girls, boys, young people, women, people with disabilities and older adults, with the impact positive the reduction of inequality gaps, which will generate opportunities to have access to favorable conditions of well-being and quality of life.
This program fulfills the objective of meeting the basic needs for human and social well-being, such as providing access to better nutrition, health services, and providing optimal conditions for education and leisure spaces.
It is worth mentioning that the participation and actions of civil organizations focused on complying with the Social Welfare axes, which will cover the following items:
1-. Support in medical attention to children with colorectal diseases.
2.- Surgeries, dental treatments will be provided to girls and boys with cleft palate, as well as language therapies will be provided.
3.- Medical and specialized care for the treatment of foot deformities of girls and boys in vulnerable sectors.
4.- Reconstructive surgeries to women survivors of breast cancer.
5.- Improvement of the quality of life of older adults.
6.- Food support in sectors and areas of scarce economic resources.
7.- Prevention of addictions.
8.- Improvement of housing and public spaces in vulnerable sectors.
With these actions by the State Government, it is conducive to development and growth in favor of the vulnerable population in Tamaulipas, so in the long term this will help in the reduction of risks such as poverty, inequality, health and social security.
