Sebien continues to oversee soup kitchens installed for the benefit of the families affected in Reynosa.
Ciudad Reynosa, Tamaulipas.- On the instructions of the Governor, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, the person in charge of the Office of the Secretary of Social Welfare, Rómulo Garza Martínez, personally supervised the dining rooms that were installed in different colonies of Reynosa to give hot food to the families that were affected by the waterspout that hit the city in recent days.
Accompanied by the Undersecretary of Social Welfare, Álvaro Barrientos Barrón; by the regional director and the delegate of Sebien in that border municipality, Ricardo Moreno Aguilar and Mirna Flores Cantú, respectively, the official went to the 20 dining rooms that were established to give food to people whose homes were flooded by the heavy rains.
During his trip, Garza Martínez spoke with those affected and stressed the work being done by the Governor and his wife Mrs. Mariana Gómez de García Cabeza de Vaca, president of the Tamaulipas DIF System to help those who are in disgrace.
"We are set to add and contribute to lighten the load. The Governor is watching everything and is willing to give what is necessary for each one of you. We are here to tell you that you are not alone, we regret the situation and we are working constantly and permanently to help and solve the needs, "said the official.
