Industrial expansion continues in maquiladoras installed in Tamaulipas.

The Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca held a meeting with members and executives of the Maquiladora KEMET company, who announced the start of the Polymer Expansion Project 2022, which will offer more than 520 jobs in the downtown area of ​​Tamaulipas.

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.- The Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca participated in a meeting with the Director of Operations of the maquiladora company KEMET Planta Victoria, José Octavio Olmedo Alcocer who announced the construction of the Polymer Expansion Project 2022, which will have an investment of 20 million dollars and will generate more than 520 jobs in the area downtown Tamaulipas.

Accompanied by the leadership team of the Victoria Plant, the president recognized the importance of the growth of world industries in the entity, in order to continue promoting competitiveness, science, technology, innovation and economic development of the regions in favor of Tamaulipas families .

Tamaulipas ranks sixth in the country with the largest number of establishments in the Manufacturing Industry, Maquiladora and Export Services (IMMEX), having more than 400 companies dedicated to the sector in the entity.

IMMEX employs a total of 265 thousand 893 workers in Tamaulipas, ranking as the fifth entity in the country with the most workers in the manufacturing sector; In addition, it has a privileged geographical location that makes the entity more attractive for the transport sector with 17 border crossings, industrial ports and 5 airports.

Only in the maquiladora company KEMET Ciudad Victoria, there are 832 workers, of which 051 are operators; It is dedicated to the manufacture of capacitors for the medical, aerospace, automotive, technology and transportation sectors, maintaining a presence in Ciudad Victoria and Matamoros.

Continuing with the work agenda, Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca participated in the cycle of conferences and exhibitions Tech Day 2.1, focused on presenting projects and technological trends to the computer links that manage the entire technological infrastructure and communications network of the State Government.

During this exhibition, more than 500 virtual representatives and more than 250 face-to-face exhibitors participated, who offered cycles of conferences and workshops focused on infrastructure for telecommunications, the electrical area, the medical, educational and industrial commercial sector, solutions for connectivity cabinets, data centers and industrial automation.

In addition to telecommunications services, internet and data networks, cloud computing services, storage, citizen service systems, portals, digital channels, cybersecurity and threat intelligence, among others.

With these actions, the State Government reaffirms its commitment to have public tools that contribute to better growth and development of the maquiladora, industrial and other productive sectors in Tamaulipas.
