Strengthens Tamaulipas, Nuevo León and Coahuila coordination in Public Security.

Heads of the 3 entities endorsed their commitment to continue with the agreement established since 2019, in order to strengthen, coordinate and secure implementing strategies through 8 points of agreement that will benefit families in the regions.

Monterrey, Nuevo León.- Governors of the states of Tamaulipas, Nuevo León and Coahuila reaffirmed their commitment to continue with the strengthening of the strategies implemented in matters of public security with the aim of making the operations and institutional coordination more efficient by monitoring and preventing the high impact crimes.

«Coordination and communication will be key between these 3 states, we have already agreed to make some adjustments with the radiocommunication systems that are going to have to be able to have a greater and better reaction when there is a risk situation in any of the 3 states; We will be working hand in hand in a coordinated manner, not only to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, but also to guarantee that we will use all the instruments that are within our reach to guarantee the safety of the families in these 3 states ", commented Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca.

The meeting was held at the Government Palace of the State of Nuevo León, where Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda announced that his administration will replicate the successful strategy of the Government of Tamaulipas by implementing safe booths every 50 kilometers on the road network.

“We are the northeast region of Mexico, it is the most economically important region and the one that has grown the most, we are the same area; Nuevo León is going to adopt the good practices of the neighbors, today Tamaulipas showed us the efficiency of putting what they call security stations every 50 kilometers on the roads, to all the border bridges of Tamaulipas and Nuevo León with great pleasure it will replicate and make the same strategy of having Civil Force offices, detachments every 50 kilometers from here to the border, "said the Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda.

During the working meeting, they agreed on the following points:

Organize a new strategy for joint operations on highways and breaches against organized crime and migratory flows with greater attention to the boundaries of each entity. Barracks and a new action protocol will be established.

Standardize the replacing processes with the intention of combating vehicle theft and their use in criminal matters. This involves linking all C4 and C5 communications between the 3 states; Link the communications of police corporations through the C5 of the State of Nuevo León and establish a common red code.

A change in the acquisition of weapons and ammunition will be proposed to the Federation to make it more efficient. Propose to the Chamber of Deputies a transitory article in the Financial Discipline Law that allows increasing the number of police hiring; Propose and demand from the Federation a greater and better participation of the National Institute of Migration to address the migration problem.

Homologate criminal figures to combat organized crime and generate successful legal and media mechanisms that allow the capture of objectives.

The Governor of Coahuila, Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, stressed that he will maintain tools at the service of his government to attend to the neighborhoods, evaluate and address high-impact crimes in common areas, highlighting the political will of each region.
