Governor Francisco Cabeza de Vaca begins construction of the TAM-Bajío highway.

Eg El Riachuelo, Gómez Farías, Tamaulipas.- Accompanied by the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, the Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca began the construction of the TAM-Bajío highway, also known as Mante-Ocampo-Tula, which will connect the Bajío entities with the southern region of Tamaulipas more efficiently and directly, strengthening trade and tourism between the two regions.

The project managed to consolidate thanks to the efforts of the Government of Tamaulipas to recover the concession of the road, which will run through the Tamaulipas municipalities of Mante, Gómez Farías, Ocampo and Tula along 107 kilometers, reducing travel times by up to 2 hours between the Bajío (San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Aguascalientes and Guanajuato) and the cities of Tampico, Madero and Altamira.

Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, Governor of Guanajuato, one of the main industrial regions of the country, recognized the vision of the Government of Tamaulipas by promoting projects that strengthen regional and local economic development.

The project consists of a private investment of 7 billion pesos by Grupo Hycsa, which will increase connectivity through an alternative high-specification type A2 road that will connect the Tamaulipas cities of Tampico, Madero and Altamira with the central-western region of the country, in order to obtain savings in travel times and reduce travel costs for users by offering a 107-kilometer-long road system under state jurisdiction.

The TAM-Bajío highway is projected to become one of the main roads used by the tourism and commercial sector, in addition its construction will generate more than 200 direct jobs and 3 indirect jobs, additionally more than 400 different equipment will be used according to to its construction stage.

The Tam-Bajío highway will be a great project in which it will be used both in the tourist and commercial areas and will have a great economic benefit for the transport, hotel, tourism, gastronomic sector, among others.

During the event, the Governor of the State of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, representing the Brigadier General with a Diploma of the General Staff, Vicente Antonio Hernández Sánchez, Commander of the 8th Military Zone, the Infantry Colonel Diplomate of the General Staff were present. , Alfredo Ojeda Yañez, Commander of the 54th Infantry Battalion.
