The State and Federal Governments must send a clear signal of no impunity for events such as Reynosa: Governor Francisco Cabeza de Vaca.

The federal, state and municipal governments must send a clear message that there is not, nor will there be, impunity for those who commit criminal acts or violence, such as the one that occurred in Reynosa on June 19, when innocent citizens were deliberately deprived of their lives. .

"We must add actions that contribute to social peace, guaranteeing zero impunity against violent acts," said the president, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, at a press conference held this Monday in the state capital.

“I invite the Federal Government to together send a clear signal of no impunity. Let the criminals know in advance that this type of devious behavior will not receive hesitation on the part of the authorities and that they will be persecuted until the last consequences ”.

He added: “Hence my call for each order of government to assume its responsibility and we close the clamp, federation, states and municipalities, for the safety of Mexicans, with the aim that criminal acts such as June 19 are not repeated in Reynosa or in other communities in the country ”.

Accompanied by the State Public Security Cabinet, the Tamaulipas president once again condemned the events in Reynosa and reiterated his solidarity with the families that were affected.

It reported on the recent arrest of 8 more people, allegedly related as material and / or intellectual perpetrators, with which there are already 13 people placed at the disposal of the authority, among them, a high criminal profile that due to their dangerousness and capacity to generate violence , was considered a priority objective of the Prosecutor's Office.

He reiterated his commitment to collaborate with federal and municipal authorities to guarantee peace, tranquility and the rule of law in the entity.

“We must also recognize that state governments can do a lot to improve security, but a significant number of cases, such as the one that happened on this occasion in Reynosa, prove that we require greater collaboration from the Federal Government to prosecute law enforcement criminals. federal ”, expressed the governor.

In addition to the investigations and results mentioned, it was reported that the coordination and application of security strategies implemented by the Special Operations Group (GOPES) of the State, has allowed that in the last 7 days from June 19 to June 26, 2021 , the arrest of 25 people, 119 were freed from kidnapping, in addition 21 long weapons, 4 short weapons, 136 magazines, 5,011 cartridges, 29 vehicles, 136 punches tires, 20 cell phones, 20 tactical vests and drugs were seized.
