Francisco government Cabeza de Vaca makes Tamaulipas a national example; reveal data from CONEVAL.

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. - At a weekly press conference, Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca announced that Tamaulipas is the entity in the country that has arranged the most actions and programs to address and contain the health and economic contingency caused by Covid-19, according to an overview presented by the National Council for the Evaluation of Development Policy Social (CONEVAL).
“Tamaulipas today continues to move forward despite the pandemic, the indicators put Tamaulipas as a national example and that is derived from the different actions that society and the government have carried out. Regarding the panorama presented by CONEVAL, there are 72 public policies that the Government of the State of Tamaulipas has implemented both to contain the effects of the pandemic and for the economic slowdown that has occurred at the national level, ”he said.
Accompanied by the Secretary of Social Welfare, Rómulo Garza Martínez and the Secretary of Health, Gloria de Jesús Molina Gamboa, he stressed that Tamaulipas is also the second best state in the country to conduct business, according to the international firm Deloitte and that the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO) ranks the entity as one of the 4 states with the best economic recovery during the pandemic and one of the 3 with the highest capture of Foreign Direct Investment in the country.
CONEVAL presented in recent days the Panorama of Social Programs and Actions in the Federal Entities to Respond to the Effects of the Pandemic by Covid-19, in which Tamaulipas also obtains the first places in public policies aimed at guaranteeing the right to health, food and education, as well as programs to reactivate the local economy.
The construction of 8 Covid-19 hospitals stands out to expand hospital capacity at the state level, awareness campaigns for healthy distance, use of face masks and collaboration with productive sectors to contain infections without affecting the local economy.
The delivery of food packages to the population in vulnerable conditions, the setting up of community kitchens in both urban and rural areas, as well as the implementation of printed and electronic materials to support distance education, as well as special materials for teachers and students without Internet access.
In economic matters, CONEVAL detected in Tamaulipas the largest number of tax incentives and microcredit programs and business loans to support the productive sectors.
For her part, the Secretary of Health of the Government of Tamaulipas, Gloria de Jesús Molina Gamboa, highlighted that active cases of Covid-19 in Tamaulipas continue to decline and that hospital occupancy decreased from 40 percent at the beginning of 2021, to 29 percent today. He called not to lower our guard and to continue with preventive measures to avoid infections.
