Nuevo Laredo III Bridge Master Plan advances.

The Tamaulipas government invests $ 248.8 million pesos in more infrastructure for the most important crossing of the country's northern border.

Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.- The governor, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, made a working tour of this border city, during which he delivered and supervised the Master Plan of the Nuevo Laredo III International Bridge, for which an investment of $ 248.8 million pesos is destined.

At this stage of his work tour, García Cabeza de Vaca He was accompanied by Congressman for District 28 of the state of Texas, Henry Cuellar.

The works consist of the widening of the fifth lane in the eastern body of the access road to the port, the hydraulic network, the construction of a sanitary drainage network and an elevated tank, the pedestrian access inspection booth for imports, and the relocation of the gamma ray equipment. for export.

They also include adaptation of access and parking for visitors and staff, supply and installation of metal fencing, improvement of landscaping and implementation of an automated irrigation system, second stage of the hydraulic network and new Trust offices.

He also supervised the progress of the work of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and the expansion of exit lanes for the export cargo buffer area as part of the second stage of this project.

A third stage includes the installation of export and import entry and exit gates, construction of a civil protection equipment shelter building, construction of a storm drainage network, and the second stage of the expansion of the fifth lane in the east body.

The World Trade Bridge III Nuevo Laredo is the most important foreign trade crossing of the Mexico-United States border. Under normal conditions, it registers about 14 thousand cargo trucks daily.

Previously García Cabeza de Vaca, together with Mayor Francisco Rivas Cuéllar; the Senator for Tamaulipas, Ismael García Cabeza Vaca; the Federal Deputy Salvador Rosas Quintanilla; and local Deputies, trustees, aldermen of the H. The Governor also launched the road adaptation works for the César López de Lara Avenue between Reforma and Paseo Colón, as part of the pavement rehabilitation and urban improvement program, in which $ 17.8 million pesos are invested and with which 180,000 users benefit.

The works consist of the resurfacing of a 23 thousand 770 square meter asphalt binder, signaling, public lighting, traffic lights and construction 1.30 linear meters of the median with gardens.

The President also went to the Solidaridad neighborhood, to provide extraordinary food support to families in vulnerable conditions that were affected by the health contingency due to COVID-19.
