Northeast Governors Strengthen Regional Public Safety Strategy

Among the agreements, the increase in inter-institutional communication and in the centers of security and intelligence, the location of priority objectives, and early warning actions stand out.

Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.- The governors of Tamaulipas, Nuevo León and Coahuila, accompanied by commanders of the Ministry of National Defense, Secretary of the Navy and National Guard, held a regional working meeting on Public Security today, in which they agreed strengthen joint strategies to guarantee the peace and tranquility of families in the northeast region of the country.

Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón and Miguel Riquelme Solís, respectively, agreed to increase inter-institutional communication, the location of priority objectives, early warning actions, coordinated deployment of actions and improve the links of the C-4 and C-5 that the three have entities.

«We are going to guide information and intelligence work, develop regional security operational schemes, increase regional operational efficiency, improve operational strategies and processes; Evaluate our results and identify social vulnerabilities, ”announced the Governor of Tamaulipas at a press conference.

They also agreed to hold periodic meetings, biweekly or monthly, between the leaders of the Tamaulipas, Nuevo León and Coahuila Security Forces, promote citizen participation and continue to contain crime, particularly the crime of illegal deprivation of liberty.

On a working tour in Nuevo Laredo, Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca He made a tour of the COVID-19 Hospitalization Operational Unit, installed by the Ministry of National Defense in the 16th Motorized Cavalry Regiment.

The unit has capacity for 24 patients whose symptoms are mild or moderate. It employs 10 doctors, 8 nurses, 3 capturists, 4 toilers, 2 military doctors and 4 health officers.

It will be available to the general population, only in the event that the capacity of the Nuevo Laredo General Hospital, designated for the care of patients COVID-19, exceeds 80 percent.
