Governor delivers team to strengthen ecotourism in «El Cielo»

The team will allow tourism service providers in the area to improve their activities and raise the quality of their services, once sanitary conditions allow it.

On a working tour this weekend, the Governor, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, delivered equipment for the practice of ecotourism in the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve, after a request made by the inhabitants of the San José ejido, who operate tourist services in the area.

El Cielo is a Biosphere reserve, thus recognized by the United Nations Organization and is the most important protected natural area in Northeast Mexico.

It extends throughout the municipalities of Gómez Farías, where its main access is located, Jaumave, Llera and Ocampo; Its inhabitants are responsible for operating the tourist services offered to national and foreign ecotourism lovers.

The support provided by the Tamaulipas State Government consists of equipment that will allow them to improve their activities and raise the quality of their services, once the sanitary conditions allow this tourist destination to reopen.

In sum, 20 teams were delivered, each consisting of a helmet, pulley, 2 carabiners, shoulder strap and harness, necessary to provide security in the practice of some ecotourism activities.

Governor Garcia Cabeza de Vaca He also lived with the inhabitants of the San José ejido, from whom he heard concerns and proposals to improve and strengthen the activities that provide sustenance for the communities that depend on the Reserve's tourism activity.

Prior to these activities, the participating authorities verified the operation of a sanitary module installed at the entrance to the municipal capital of Gómez Farías, the main access to the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve.
