Governor supervises social and sports infrastructure in Tampico

The works, with an investment of $ 76.7 million pesos, will benefit more than 68 thousand inhabitants of the southern metropolitan area of ​​Tamaulipas.

Tampico, Tamaulipas.- To continue improving the urban environment and spaces for practicing sport in Tampico, the Governor, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, supervised the progress of a package of social and sports infrastructure works, which with an investment of $ 76.7 million pesos will benefit a total of 68 thousand inhabitants of the southern area of ​​Tamaulipas.

As part of his work tour of this region, the Tamaulipas president supervised the pavement and infrastructure rehabilitation works on different streets in the historic center of this community, which recorded an advance of 94 percent, and in which $ 33.7 was invested. million pesos, directly benefiting 50 thousand people.

Accompanied by the mayor, Jesús Nader; the senator, Ismael García Cabeza de Vaca; the director general of the Tamaulipas Sports Institute, Carlos Fernández Altamirano; and the Secretary General of the Government, César Augusto Verástegui Ostos; The head of the State Executive also supervised the progress of the rehabilitation of the fronton courts in the Tampico Sports Unit, consisting of the renovation of the courts, lighting and stands of this complex.

The work registers a 90 percent advance and $ 21.5 million pesos are invested in it, benefiting 9 thousand people, mainly fans and high-performance athletes, who, once the health contingency has passed, will have better spaces for practice. of this discipline.

The governor, García Cabeza de Vaca, also verified the conversion to synthetic grass of an 11 soccer field of the Tampico Sports Unit, works that have required an investment of $ 21.5 million pesos.

The work registers a progress of 92 percent and will directly benefit more than 9 thousand athletes from this municipality.
