SET implements measures in the educational system before Covid-19.

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.- The Government of Tamaulipas will attend to and apply the prevention measures recommended by the State Committee for Health Safety and the Ministry of Education in Tamaulipas (SET) before the COVID-19 or Coronavirus, at all levels of the System State Educational, suspending classes starting this Tuesday, March 17.

This measure will be applied at the preschool, elementary, middle, high school, and university levels until April 17, to resume activities on Monday, April 20.

The suspension of classes does not mean a vacation period, but a measure so that parents and students are co-responsible for the prevention and containment of the disease, limiting their activities outside the home as much as possible, mainly in places with a high population concentration.

In Tamaulipas there are 671 thousand 815 basic education students, in the same way the 32 thousand 197 teachers, from 5 thousand 330 public and private schools in the state.

As well as 144 thousand 053 students and 8 thousand 091 teachers of Upper Secondary Education, and 133 thousand 281 students, with 10 thousand 533 teachers of Higher Education.

All civic events, sports activities, as well as festivals are also suspended during the school year.

During the remaining days of classes, each school will have filters in which the tutors will be asked to prove daily that they have followed the hygiene measures shared by the Ministry of Health.

It is important to confirm that until Monday, March 16, Tamaulipas does not register confirmed cases of COVID-19 or Coronavirus.
