Authorities participate in Citizen Security Workshop

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, August 12 2019.- In order to establish bases for the relaunching of public policies that Tamaulipas requires, with a vision towards the year 2030, this Sunday began the Planning Workshop for each of the three axes of the State Government: Citizen Security, Social Welfare and Sustainable Economic Development.

During this Monday's session, chaired by the Head of the Governor's Office, Víctor Manuel Sáenz Martínez, the problem of the sector in the state is analyzed and probable actions to be developed in the following years are established, to improve security conditions, procurement and delivery of justice in Tamaulipas.

What it is about is knowing where we are, where we want to go and what we should do in the coming years, in order to identify the main problems that inhibit security in the state and strengthen government strategies and actions on the matter, he said. Dr. Carlos Flores Alcocer, who conducts the workshops.

On Monday and Tuesday, the workshop related to Citizen Security is held, in which controls and holders of the Tamaulipas Public Security Secretariat participate; of the State Attorney General's Office; Executive Secretariat of the State Public Security System; of the Secretariat of National Defense; Navy of Mexico; Federal police; Office of the Attorney General of the Republic and National Intelligence Center.

Likewise, coordinators of the Security and Justice tables of the South Conurbated Zone, Ciudad Mante, Ciudad Victoria and Reynosa participate, as well as Tony Payán of the Rice University of Houston and the members of the Security Advisory Council of the State Government, Guillermo Valdés and Alejandro Hope.

After the Citizen Security Workshop, another three more will be carried out in the coming weeks: one of Social Welfare, another of Economic Development and one more of transversal actions.

These workshops will strengthen the strategies and actions considered in the State Development Plan 2016-2022, but with a view to a Great Vision towards the year 2030.
