Soto la Marina, Tamaulipas .- The State Government through the Ministry of Public Security reports that, on the afternoon of this Tuesday 9 in July in this municipality, the State Police rescued two migrants of Honduran origin.

Approximately at 13: 00 hours, during a route of security and surveillance on the Soto la Marina-Aldama highway, the elements of the state detected at kilometer 127 two men who were walking along the shore, so they stopped the march to interview them.

When talking with them, they identified themselves as from Honduras and commented that they had been walking from Manuel Station with the intention of reaching Matamoros in order to cross the United States, proceeding to provide them with water and food, since they mentioned that they had not eaten anything in the last hours.

The State Police handed over the Central Americans to the personnel of the National Institute of Migration (INAMI), who will be responsible for verifying their legal status in Mexican territory.
