Construction begins on the largest Convention Center in Tamaulipas

Reynosa, Tamaulipas.- Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca launched the first stage of construction of the Reynosa Convention Center, which with an investment of close to 200 million pesos, will help strengthen the city as a national and international business destination, underpin the dynamism of the local and regional economy, as well as the development of its infrastructure and urban image.

"This new large space of conventions, will soon give greater dynamism to the local and regional economy, as well as contribute to strengthen the image and facilities of Reynosa as a business center. In the Time of All, Reynosa and Tamaulipas are inscribed in the global dynamics of the economy, to strengthen and diversify the opportunities of families, "said the head of the State Executive, after making the initial marking of the construction work together with Mayor Maki Esther Ortíz Domínguez.

He noted that the current development of Reynosa and its future growth projection required a convention center that took advantage of the potential of the city and its geographical location, which the Government of the State of Tamaulipas meets this need raised months ago to the president state by citizens and business chambers.

The Convention Center will be built on the grounds of the Reynosa Cultural Center, in front of the Laguna Escondida, potentially benefiting 300 thousand inhabitants of this municipality, allowing to expand the offer of conventions, congresses, fairs, exhibitions and similar events of all sizes.

It will have a large room of 2 thousand 500 square meters, which can be divided into five convention rooms, auditorium, kitchen, cafeteria, administrative area with meeting room, work stations, reception, press room and other facilities for holding events according to the highest national and international demands.

On a work tour of Reynosa, Governor García Cabeza de Vaca He also supervised the work of the Road Distributor of Boulevard Miguel Hidalgo and Bulevard Mil Cumbres that currently presents a physical advance of 80 percent and that, once open to circulation, in the first half of April, will benefit more than 900 thousand users that circulate daily on the avenue.

For the completion of the road work has been required 217 million pesos of investment and is part of a program aimed at improving the main avenues and accesses to the municipality, in which the Government of the State of Tamaulipas invests more than 800 million pesos only for Reynosa.
